Stand With Trans has recently developed a Support Group Training Program for those interested in becoming facilitators. The organization is looking for parents of trans kids that would be interested in running a group in the following areas: Adrian, Livonia/Westland, Flint and Lansing. A few things to mention – Stand With Trans would like those interested in training to attend a currently running support group at least two times to get a feel for how they operate. The training will take about 2.5 hrs and will be scheduled once a list of those interested are identified and the visits to the other groups have been completed. Support groups for kids will be run by therapists along with a helper. Both the Parent Group and the Kids Group are not therapy, but purely "supportive" in nature.
