A musical of love songs by men for men debuts June 5

DETROIT – Kick, the agency for LGBT African-Americans, presents a musical of love songs by men for men, called Gentlemen Preferred on June 5.
The event will reinterpret love songs that have been traditionally performed by women to be by men in relation to same-gender-loving relationships. The event is a fundraiser to benefit the Detroit Lesbian & Gay Welcome Center.
Gentlemen Preferred will star local gospel and R&B vocalists Eric King, Barry Parker and Richard Turner and will be hosted by the fabulous illusionist, Diva.
Tickets are $20 per person, and $15 for "Friends of Kick" (become a "Friend of Kick" at http://www.e-kick.com) and will be held at 1515 Broadway, located in Downtown Detroit, at 1515 Broadway Avenue. There will be a meet and greet reception at 6:30 p.m. Show time is 8 p.m. For more information call 313-438-2222.
