All you need to know about AIDS Walk Detroit Sept. 18

ROYAL OAK- Steppin' Out is pleased to announce that AIDS Walk Detroit will be held this Sunday, Sept. 18th. The walk will begin at the Royal Oak Farmer's Market, and will proceed through downtown. A schedule of events for the day is as follows:
9 a.m.: Registration begins
10:30 a.m.: The Names Project AIDS Memorial Quilt opening
11 a.m.: Walk begins
People wanting to participate are encouraged to come and register the morning of the walk. Anyone wanting more information about AIDS Walk Detroit should call the office at 248-399-9255 or go online to http://www.aidswalkdetroit.org.
Steppin' Out's mission is to provide financial support to agencies that provide direct care services, prevention and education programs to those living with HIV/AIDS. Steppin' Out also promotes public awareness through events and activities that guarantee people living with HIV/AIDS are treated with dignity and respect.
Since its inception in 1991, Steppin' Out has become the largest grass roots HIV/AIDS fundraising organization in Michigan and has granted more than $3.5 million to more than 25 different agencies in Metro Detroit.
