An afternoon of pride with 'Jeffrey'

FERNDALE
To celebrate Pride, Who Wants Cake? Theatre will present the comedy "Jeffrey" at a special discount ticket price of $10 for the 3 p.m. performance on June 1.
Called the first successful American romantic comedy in response to the AIDS epidemic, Paul Rudnick's 1993 Obie Award-winning play tells the story of a gay actor/waiter who reconciles himself to celibacy, only to meet the man of his dreams – who happens to be HIV-positive.
Who Wants Cake? Theatre performs at The Ringwald, 22742 Woodward Ave., Ferndale.
The play runs through June 9.
