Anti-Pornography U.S. Rep Gives Live Sex Performance at Children's Theater Show
When the literal news is filthier than the books Moms for Liberty wants to ban.
U.S. Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, who has expressed concern with drag queens "sexualizing" children, was ejected from Buell Theatre in Denver during a recent performance of "Beetlejuice" after closed circuit cameras captured Boebert acting a fool for nearly four minutes.
The conservative darling — and grandmother and mother of four children — was vaping, singing loudly, taking prohibited flash photography, using her cellphone and groping her companion in the seat next to her. But the problem is drag? Mmkay.
Boebert initially denied the brouhaha until the video proved her as guilty as former President Trump in the Georgia election interference case.
Though Boebert initially denied acting like an errant 12-year-old at the Sept. 10 performance, saying she didn’t recall vaping and was forced to leave merely for being a little too enthusiastic about the show. Boebert was forced to recant once the video footage went viral.
In a statement, Boebert apologized, blaming, in part, the divorce she is currently going through.
“There’s no blueprint for going through a public and difficult divorce, which over the past few months has made for a challenging personal time for me and my entire family,” her statement read in part. “I’ve tried to handle it with strength and grace as best I can. But I simply fell short of my values on Sunday. That’s unacceptable, and I’m sorry.”
What she didn’t apologize for but may want to is her date. Boebert was groping an allegedly Democratic Aspen bar owner Quinn Gallagher, whose establishment has actually hosted drag shows with catchy titles like "A Winter Wonderland Burlesque & Drag Show." The bar, Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar, has also hosted a women’s party for Aspen Gay Ski Week.
This is surprising (or is it?) since Boebert and her cohorts have been vehemently anti-drag, claiming that drag shows — and drag queens — sexualize kids. It’s quite a claim from someone who almost caught public indecency charges for literally groping her date’s genitals in the audience of a family-friendly theater show.
Several media sources have claimed Boebert and Gallagher have been dating for some time. The Daily Mail reported that one “well-placed source” claimed to be very surprised by the pairing. “I always thought Quinn was a cool guy and a Democrat,” the source said. “His parents would be horrified because they are definitely blue.”
Though Boebert has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons for years, now even some conservatives are recoiling from this latest dust-up. Several well-known commentators have taken to X, formerly Twitter, to rail against Boebert and married South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, who has allegedly been involved with a years-long affair with married Trump advisor Corey Lewandowski.
Conservative lawyer Jenna Ellis, a former member of Trump’s legal team, wrote on X, "Between Noem, Boebert, Buck, and Jenner today and Trump's ridiculous wavering on the gender question... I have never been more proud to be an Independent right now. If I re-register, it would be for the sole purpose of voting for MORALS and Ron DeSantis in the primary. I'm so sick of Republican Party leadership being absolute morons and refusing to stand up for basic decency and truth.”
