Assembly Line Theatre to do Staged Reading of Sean Paraventi's 'Seven Castaways'

FERNDALE – Assembly Line Theatre Company is kicking off the new year with a staged reading of the musical, "The Seven Castaways" by Sean Paraventi. The performance is a fundraising effort to help the 501(c)(3) produce its second full-length production in fall of 2018.
"The Seven Castaways" is a full-length, modern parody of an iconic, 1960s sitcom that many grew up watching.
"I don't want to give too much away, but it involves seven castaways stuck on an island. It's raunchy and fun and it is not your parent's 'Gilligan's Island,'" said Paraventi.
The cast is loaded with local acting veterans including Allison Megroet, Andrea Konsoer, Dez Walker, Jason Bowen, Jeff Priscorn, Mitch Koory and Sonja Marquis. The staged reading will be directed by Patrick Nelson Hanley.
"The Seven Castaways" will be performed on Jan. 12, at 8:00 p.m. at ComedySportz Detroit. The venue is located at 1100 Woodward Heights, Ferndale. Reach out to [email protected] for more information about the show, or call 734-788-3457.
