Folk Festival celebrates roots

ANN ARBOR – The 29th Annual Ann Arbor Folk Festival presents the rare opportunity to hear many artists that are undiscovered, and there's always at least one breakout that leaves Ann Arbor, and the whole folk community talking for months. There are also a few stars at the very top of their careers this year, including the Lyle Lovett Trio, Jonatha Brooke, Catie Curtis and Caroline Herring.
The two evenings of the Folk Festival on Jan. 27 and 28 will run four and five hours each and will feature between seven and ten groups or solos at the Hill Auditorium on the campus of the University of Michigan. All proceeds go to benefit The Ark in Ann Arbor. Tickets are available at 734-763-TKTS or online at http://www.ticketmaster.com. For more information call 734-761-1800.
