ROCHESTER – The first annual "The Plays the Thing" golf outing will be held Monday, May 21 at the R&S Sharf Golf Course. The cost per golfer is $150. Registration is at 11 a.m. Shot gun start is noon.
The event will include 18 holes, cart use, goody bags, door prizes and a dinner on site.
Sponsorships are available in many forms including Event and Hole Sponsors and door prize and goody bag donations. Sponsorships give great name recognition through a variety of means, including tee signs, logo items and inclusion in PR materials.
"We are very excited to be able to offer this type of recognition and acknowledgement to corporations and businesses we have a relationship with," said John Manfredi, managing director of MBT. "It's a good way of generating some corporate acknowledgment, donations for the theater and of course, play an outstanding golf course."
The R&S Sharf Golf Course, designed by Rick Smith, has been ranked by Golf Digest as 21st among Michigan's 855 golf courses.
The Golf Outing is sponsored by the Michigan State University Federal Credit Union. All proceeds from the event will benefit Meadow Brook Theatre.
