Horowitz wins NOW award

Susan Horowitz, co-publisher of Between the Lines, received the Susan Gold Lesbian Rights Award from the Michigan chapter of the National Organization for Women at their annual conference on March 12.
Horowitz was recognized for her work on the Proposal 2 campaign, during which she was one of the major organizers behind the Coalition for a Fair Michigan, which fought the anti-family ballot initiative.
Rick Wallace, the former treasurer of the Coalition, accepted the award on Horowitz’s behalf.
