Kevin McAlpine to leave Triangle Foundation

DETROIT –
Deputy Director Kevin McAlpine will be leaving Triangle Foundation to pursue a position with Wayne State University as Director of Development for the College of Fine, Performing, and Communication Arts.
McAlpine has been at Triangle for the past ten years. His last day will be Sept. 19.
During his tenure he helped the agency grow from 3 employees with an annual organizational budget of $88,000 to a $1 million dollar budget and a staff of twelve.
"We are grateful for the tremendous distance Kevin has taken our organization during his tenure. As a result of Kevin's wise guidance, he leaves Triangle Foundation in a solid, established and hopeful place," said Interim Executive Director Kate Runyon.
"It has been a great honor to work for Triangle Foundation. I strongly believe in our work and our staff. Triangle will continue to be an uncompromising voice working for full equality for our community. I encourage everyone to financially support Triangle Foundation as most of the victories in our community happen at the statewide level," said McAlpine.
During the past year the Triangle Foundation has lost its 3 oldest staff members beginning with Jeffrey Montgomery last fall, Sean Kosofsky in July and McAlpine this month. The board of directors is currently interviewing candidates for the executive director position and plans an announcement soon.
