Lansing to hold second annual Diversity Celebration

LANSING- The city of Lansing is preparing to celebrate the diversity of the community. On May 19 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. the Field house of Eastern High School, located on Pennsylvania Avenue will be bursting at the seams with music, dance, food and other events celebrating the diversity of the community. The event was started last year by Mayor Virgil Bernero in response to a planned rally by the National Socialist Movement (NSM) or Nazis on the steps of the capitol.
This years event will feature the music of Root Doctor, gospel choirs, dance groups, and Lansing,Aeos own Sistrum, the women,Aeos chorus. The event will also feature free food and events for the kids.
