Linda Lee Smith, 54, passed away Nov. 22. Smith was a fixture at Ann Arbor's aut Bar, where she was beloved by staff and customers alike.
"Linda had pre-dated the aut Bar," said co-owner Keith Orr. "She worked with us when it was La Casita De Lupe. She ruled here."
Orr continued, "She was known by most people at 'Ma,' and for very good reason – she was very much a caretaker, and took care of folks and animals in need." Smith is survived by her wife, Terrie Slisher – the two were married in Braun Court in 1999 – three children, and five grandchildren. Services were held Nov. 24 in Milan.
