Out On The Lakeshore Expands in Holland

Out On The Lakeshore continues to expand its services at the OOTL Community Center, offering new hours and programs for LGBTQ residents and allies in the Holland area.
The center, at 451 Columbia Ave. in Holland, will now be open from 1-5 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. It previously was open for two hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Grants from the Holland/Zeeland Community Center and West Shore Aware made the expanded hours possible.
It also will offer an "Out in Faith" program from 7-8:15 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month. LGBTQ supportive pastors will be at the community center then to share stories, comfort, listen, answer questions, offer resources and primarily support the LGBTQ community. The monthly gatherings are open to all ages and allies.
OOTL Community Center also now offers a Game Night for adults on the third Thursday of the month at 5:30 p.m. and Movie Night for teens and adults on the fourth Thursday of the month starting at 5:30 p.m.
Snacks will be provided at Game Night and movie style popcorn and drinks will be provided at Movie Night. Those interested can watch the OOTL Facebook page for upcoming movie titles.
In addition, an Adult Book Club now meets at 5:30 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month at the OOTL Community Center. The OOTL Facebook page will list the books the club is reading and discussing. Snacks are provided for the club.
