Rainbow House to host fundraiser at The Ark

ANN ARBOR – Rainbow House, an LGBT community/Habitat for Humanity project, will host "Homegrown Returns," a folk music reunion fundraiser, on June 19 at The Ark. Ann Doyle, Kathy Moore, Judy Valenti, Marsha Mumm, Jean Lieverman, Edie Herrold and other surprise guests will be among the featured entertainers.
Jeanne Alderson, co-chairperson for Rainbow House Project, said, "We are so excited about the return of these favorite artists and the donation of their time and talents, and The Ark is a fantastic venue. This is an event that the whole community can attend and help us raise the remaining funds needed for the $75,000 goal."
Tickets for the 8 p.m. event are $20 each and may be purchased at the door or in advance at Common Language Bookstore, The Ark box office or by sending a check to Rainbow House at P.O. Box 130527, Ann Arbor, Michigan, 48113. Make checks payable to Habitat for Humanity Huron Valley, including a note stating the check is for Homegrown Returns Ark tickets and providing a mailing address. Any checks received after June 9 will be held for Will Call. Proceeds will benefit the Rainbow House Project, the first build in Michigan sponsored by persons in the LGBT community and only the second in the nation. The Ark is located at 316 S. Main Street in Ann Arbor.
