Rent' cast party to benefit the Lansing Area AIDS Network

Winner of a Pulitzer Prize for Drama and a Tony Award for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book in 1996, "Rent" returns to the Wharton Center for the Performing Arts at Michigan State University for two nights, April 6 and 7. "Rent" is the tale that has often been compared to the Puccini opera, "La Boheme." Set in New York's East Village, a community of young artists struggle to live and celebrate life, love and loss in the age of AIDS.
The Lansing Area AIDS Network will host an afterglow reception for the cast and crew of "Rent" on Friday, April 6 at the Wharton Center. Tickets are $100 and include a ticket to the show and a pass to the afterglow. For Wharton Center season ticket holders who have already purchased their season pass, tickets to the afterglow are available for $50.
Hors d'oeuvres will be served with a choice of wine or beer.
This event is made possible by a generous sponsorship made by Brian Huggler and Martha Bashore of Coldwell Banker Hubbell Real Estate Company and Progressive Mortgage Company.
Tickets are available by calling LAAN at 517-394-3560.
