On Friday, April 5, therapist Dr. Joe Kort will host an event at the Royal Oak Center for Relationship and Sexual Health to learn more about suicide and how to help loved ones who may be considering taking their own life.
"Do you know that suicide was the tenth leading cause of death for all ages in the USA in 2013? Males take their own lives at nearly four times the rate of females? If you want to know and understand more about this topic and how to help someone you love, then attend Dr. Joe Kort's 'Let's talk About Suicide' discussion," wrote event organizers.
This event is not only free but will provide attendees with light snacks and refreshments. For those who cannot attend the event but would still like to learn more, the event will be livestreamed on the Center's Facebook page. Register online at crsh.com/workshops/let-s-Talk-About-Suicide.
