On Saturday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. SAGE Metro Detroit — a nonprofit focusing on LGBTQ elder care and issues — will be hosting its Coming Out Culture Then and Now event.
"Break bread with SAGE Metro Detroit as we discuss the evolution of coming out culture. Learn how the term 'homosexual' evolved into today's usage of 'queer,'" write event organizers.
Attendees will be able to participate in a small breakout session about this topic and will be allowed to share thoughts and ideas among peers and participants. Also on the agenda is a panel of "diverse LGBTQ individuals who will share their coming out stories with you."
