Stratford Festival's box office now open to the public

STRATFORD, ONTARIO – Tickets to the Stratford Festival of Canada's 2004 season are now available to the general public.
The box office opened to Members of the Stratford Festival on November 27. Since that date, more than 174,000 tickets to Festival plays have been sold both to Festival Members and, since January 2, to American Express cardholders through the Front of the Line program.
"Some performances are already sold out and this is an unprecedented level of sales to our Members, who are supporting the Festival and its playbill in record numbers," said Executive Director Antoni Cimolino, pointing out the Festival had sold 153,000 tickets at the same time last year. "We're getting a strong audience response to each of our 14 productions."
The plays in the Stratford Festival's 2004 season are: "A Midsummer Night's Dream," "Guys and Dolls," "Macbeth," "King Henry VIII (All Is True)," "The Count of Monte Cristo," "Anything Goes," "Noises Off," "Timon of Athens," "Cymbeline," "King John," "The Triumph of Love," The Swanne: Queen Victoria (The Seduction of Nemesis," "The Elephant Song" and "The Human Voice."
The Stratford Festival Call Centre can be reached at 1-800-567-1600 and is open Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The box office is also open for in-person sales (at the main Ticket Office, in the Festival Theatre at 55 Queen Street in Stratford) during Call Centre hours.
