If you’ve made getting out and connecting with others more often one of your New Years resolutions, check out a few of the many social and support activities offered by the LAHR.
LAHR will offer a coming out group beginning April 27 at the Foster Community Center, 200 N. Foster St. in Lansing in Rm. 209 from 7-8:30 p.m.
Can’t wait? LAHR’s Breakfast Club meets the third Saturday of every month at 11 a.m. at the Beggar’s Banquet, 218 Abbott Rd. in East Lansing. Ask for the LAHR table at the door.
If you like to include a bit of physical activity in your social activities, join LAHR for Bowling at Frandor Holiday Lanes on Grand River Avenue near Clippert Street and Route 127 at 9 p.m. every Thursday. The cost is $2.25 per game plus $2.75 for shoe rental. LAHR also offers Lansing Frontrunners/Walkers and open volleyball.
Other social and support opportunities include a Cafe Night every Wednesday at 8 p.m., the Gender Noncomformist Meeting, and long-term relationship and reading groups.
For more information about the groups or about LAHR, call the LAHR hotline at 517-332-3200. If you live in the area and would like to suggest a new group, email [email protected]
