Upcoming Community Michigan LGBT Marriage Conversations

MICHIGAN – In the next few weeks, Michigan For Marriage will host two community conversations to talk about the current state of the DeBoer v Snyder trial as well as what we can expect for the upcoming months.
Both events are free to the public and will offer a unique opportunity for marriage equality supporters to hear from community leaders who have first hand updates on the progress of equality in Michigan.
The first meeting is on Nov. 16, co-sponsored by the Jim Toy Community Center and Michigan for Marriage, the discussion will gather the community at Sh/Aut/ at 6p.m. located at 325 Braun Court in Ann Arbor. Coalition Manager for Michigan for Marriage, Gina Calcagno will be joined by panelists Greg Varnum, director of External Relations at Equality Michigan and Angie Martell, local Ann Arbor attorney. The panel will be moderated by Sandi Smith of Trillium Real Estate .
On Nov. 19 the Michigan For Marriage team will discuss the current marriage equality and LGBT rights updates at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Flint. Co-sponsored by Michigan For Marriage and PFLAG-Flint, Calcagno will be joined by Reverend Deane Oliva who will speak on the importance faith working for marriage equality. Conversation will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Flint located at 2474 S. Ballenger Hwy, Flint, MI 48507.
