The cover is often a distortion of assumptions, misinformation and prejudice. We know that the truth, what’s inside the book, is what really counts. This old adage has served many people well. In fact, I dare say that many lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people have benefited from this saying; we all hope others will not judge us based on preconcieved and mis-informed notions about what it means to be lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender. So in response to John Krzyston’s letter last week about the decision to hire Mike Coleman as our new development director, I have only to invite you to get to know the real Mike Coleman and you’ll see why we hired him. Personally, I’m looking forward to many great things from him in the future.
