The news that 46 percent of black, gay men may be infected with the HIV virus that causes AIDS is old news and were just getting around to having a town hall meeting about it. Amazing. White, gay men realized HIV/AIDS was a plague in the 1980s and the best and brightest of them came together and did something about it THEN. I guess its better late than never, but why have black, gay men been so slow to react to the huge HIV/AIDS infection rates in our midst? And what did the town hall meeting accomplish? As a black, gay man myself, I wish them the best. The more we help ourselves and each other, the more respect we will have in the community and the world at large. I hope you do follow-up articles on this topic. I'd like to know what these black, gay men are doing with this six months from now, one year from now, two years from now, etc.
