S.P.I.C.E. is looking for families to adopt for the holiday season.
The Detroit-based group for LGBT women of color wants to assist families in need in spreading Thanksgiving and Christmas (or other holiday) cheer in their households and is asking that anyone who knows of a family in need send an e-mail to [email protected] with the names and contact information for the family.
Donations will also be accepted at S.P.I.C.E.'s next meeting, including canned goods, monetary donations or other donations. For those who cannot make it to the meeting, held at Affirmations on the evening of Dec. 4, S.P.I.C.E. asked that an e-mail be sent so that someone from the group can pick up the donation.
