Epic fail by the parents of the bullies, the bullies themselves. The schools could have done better as well.

I agree with Elaine. Are these children getting the idea for suicide from all of the media publicity? I cannot comprehend a 10-year-old even thinking of suicide. Where is her support?

Are you kidding me? Now we have ten year olds killing themselves? To be honest, I don't think I would have known about suicide at that age. People, a little kindness to others. WTF! At some point we need to stop the cruelty.

Kids can be so cruel. I wish We could make all children aware of the potential to hurt others with words. Be kind to all.

As an androgynous queer woman, I can attest that harassment based on gender non-conformity is often more vicious than homophobic bullying. Each person who trains their children to obey gender norms inadvertently trains them to police their peers. Our society needs a new dialogue about the vast spectrum of sex, gender and sexuality. We must all do our part.
