Two New Water Works Productions Open

Water Works Theatre Company presents two new professional productions during their 13th season of Shakespeare in the Park at Starr-Jaycee Park in Royal Oak.
Opening night for "The Merry Wives of Windsor," directed by Paul Hopper and starring Sara Catheryn Wolf and Richard Redman as the fumbling Falstaff, starts this Thursday, Aug. 1 and continues Thursday-Sunday evenings through Aug. 11. Bawdy and hilarious, "The Merry Wives of Windsor" weaves a tangled tease around Shakespeare's famous clown, Falstaff.
Also playing is "Much Ado About Nothing," the hilarious misadventure of love and loyalty. Water Works' version of "Much Ado" takes place at a modern-day summer camp. The running time of this timeless comedy is shortened for a family audience by Water Works' reigning prince of fun, Barton Bund, and can be seen at 1 p.m. Aug. 3, 4, 10 and 11 and at 7 p.m. Aug. 6 and 7. Water Works Theatre will again be selling beer and wine refreshments during their evening Shakespeare shows. More information, including ticket prices and show schedules, are available online at http://www.waterworkstheatre.com.
