Breaking:Anti-LGBT Rally At State Capitol

At a noon rally on the steps of the state Capitol, Michigan State Rep. Tom Hooker (R-Jackson) announced he was issuing a resolution calling on elected officials to ignore the SCOTUS decision on marriage equality. The rally has attracted over 400 people and is organized by Salt and Light Ministries, run by David Kallman who is suing Planet Fitness in Midland on behalf of a resident whose Planet Fitness membership was revoked after she voiced concerns over a trans woman in the women's locker room.
Others of note speaking at the rally include Michigan Republican National Committeeman Dave Agema, anti-gay State Rep. Gary Glenn, R-Midland and State Sen. Patrick Colbeck, R-Canton,.
State Sen. Steve Bieda, D-Warren, observing the rally told BTL, "They might as well be saying they don't believe in the U.S. Consitituion."
