NEW YORK CITY – This past Thanksgiving, the LGBT youth at the Ali Forney Center's Brooklyn site could be thankful for not only the center's services but for a visit from an entertainment icon — none other than Madonna.
The music star stopped by the site with her son David and daughter Mercy James, The Huffington Post reports. In an Instagram post, she praised the center, which offers transitional and emergency housing, a drop-in program and a variety of other services to homeless LGBT young people at several locations around New York City.
Madonna has been quite charitable lately, according to HuffPo. She performed a free concert in New York's Washington Square Park Nov. 7 in support of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
