This winter, Wayne State University's JIGSAW is hosting a charity drive for the Ruth Ellis Center in Highland Park.
This effort runs now through January 15, 2018 and the following supplies have been requested for donation.
– Winter wear: coats, boots, gloves, hats, scarves, socks – new or gently used
– Hygiene supplies: soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes
– Beauty supplies: makeup, nail polish, hair products (especially for type four hair)
– School supplies: agendas/planners (no dates, so they never expire), composition books
Please do not gift wrap or enclose supplies. Package contents must be verified before donation. Deliver supplies Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. to the Quoffice, Room 361 or to the Office of Multicultural Student Engagement (OMSE), Room 791 – both at the WSU Student Center Building, 5221 Gullen Mall in Detroit. Drop-off locations will be closed during university holidays.
Cash donations and checks payable to the Center can be delivered to Tom at the OMSE during office hours. To donate online, visit http://www.ruthelliscenter.org/for-donors. Email Cara at [email protected] for more information or to inform JIGSAW of online donations made.
