Affirmations should come out

Letters to the editor

I noticed that the article (on Affirmations) stated it was about the Affirmations Lesbian and Gay Community Center, yet when I saw the outside pic it simply stated Affirmations. I was very disappointed that this new center seems to place the shame of omission on its very door. If this is an LGBTQ center, why not say so with pride? Why does the outside structure/building name remain in the closet as it were? Until this new center can figure out this dichotomy in its approach, I as a proud and very open gay man will not be entering its doors.
