Q Scopes

Mars in Cancer tends to diffuse energy, leading us in moody circles away from productive focus. That can be directed into examining your past, especially the familial and emotional. He’s aspecting Jupiter in Aquarius which can help provoke brilliant insights, but they will take work and you may have to abandon long-cherished notions.

ARIES (March 20 – April 19): Fussing around the house feels like a distraction from more interesting long-range goals. Try taking a fresh look at both to see how they might feed each other. A feng shui analysis of your home could help.

TAURUS (April 20 – May 20): Grumbling and kvetching with friends can help open new insights. Just be careful to stay positive and upbeat, even when critical, while dealing with folks in power. As you identify problems, stay on purpose for finding solutions.

GEMINI (May 21- June 20): Your hunger for adventure can get surprisingly expensive. If you stay mindful of economy, you can discover wonderful new ways to stretch a buck and enjoy much more of life while spending much less!

CANCER (June 21- July 22): You can hardly help but to be boisterous and challenging. But what kind of trouble that will get you into? You can be swaggering and sexy or just obnoxious and argumentative. The choice seems easy. Focusing that energy is not.

LEO (July 23 – August 22): Try to avoid fights. The chips are stacked against you. Better to find private time with someone you trust deeply to help you face down some personal demons. With some effort, you can get to the root of old problems.

VIRGO (August 23 – September 22): Working with others can help uncover flaws in your long-range plans. It won’t be easy to give up some of your vision, but remember, those are just steps to a goal. Be open to a more effective path.

LIBRA (September 23 – October 22): Getting too innovative can upset the poo-bahs. There’s a time and a place for creative fun, and you’d better keep it there. If you really have such brilliant ideas at work, bring them up gently and be open to suggestions.

SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21): You may take much greater strength from your heritage than you realize, even if that is mostly the strength to rebel against it. Re-examining your roots can offer startling insights.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 20): If you can’t keep a civil tongue in your head, there must be someplace where your nasty mouth will be appreciated. Find an outlet where you can let it all out, and remember when and where to behave yourself!

CAPRICORN (December 21 – January 19): Focus any impulse to fight about money. If you can keep it a friendly, principled debate with your partner, you can figure out how better to manage your finances. Keep your principles clear, but be open to shifting approaches and applications.

AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18): Your magnanimous efforts to help others can easily go awry. Offer and ask before acting on the generous impulse. Some exercise or a cooking class could be a good way to keep that energy out of trouble.

PISCES (February 19 – March 19): Whatever creative medium you favor, it can open windows into your soul, perhaps revealing hidden depths. Pay attention to the songs and images that float through your head; they have a lot to tell you about yourself.
