Church to hold Pride breakfast, service

The Universalist Unitarian Church of East Liberty will celebrate LGBT Pride Month on Sunday June 14, at its 11 a.m. service. Before the service, the church will hold its annual Rainbow Breakfast. The public is invited to enjoy breakfast at 9:45 a.m. Donations are welcome but not required.
Rev. Dr. Cynthia Landrum, parish minister at the church, will provide the sermon, entitled "Human Rights for All," sharing her experiences on her recent trip to Washington, D.C. to lobby for LGBT rights, as well as discussing recent developments on same-sex marriage and upcoming legislation in Michigan.
Rev. Landrum, minister of the Universalist Unitarian Church, said, "Our church, and the Unitarian Universalist Association, have a proud history of being welcoming and open. This promises to be a informative and inspirational service."
The UU Church of East Liberty is located at 2231 Jefferson Road in Liberty Township. For more information, call 517-529-4221.
