Dear BTL,
While I appreciate BTL's coverage of the "2 Pee in Peace" community forum in Greg Tasker's 5/18 article entitled "Forum addresses transgender people and public restrooms," coverage alone is not enough. After telling my story as an FTM (including mention of male pronouns), the article used female pronouns in reference to me, with was both frustrating and humiliating.
The Transgender community deserves accuracy and respect in reporting on transgender issues and individuals. While it may seem like a small oversight, respect is a big deal and doesn't require much effort.
I ask the you please print a correction.
