Kristen Stewart: 'I Wanted To Be Proposed To'

'Twilight' actor engaged to long-time partner Dylan Meyer

Sound the alarms because "Twilight" queen and rebooted "Charlie's Angel" star Kristen Stewart and her girlfriend are engaged. The Advocate reported that during an appearance on SiriusXM's "The Howard Stern Show," Stewart revealed that she and her girlfriend of two years, screenwriter Dylan Meyer, have decided to tie the knot.

"We're marrying, we're totally gonna do it," Stewart said. "I wanted to be proposed to, so I think I very distinctly carved out what I wanted, and she nailed it. We're marrying, it's happening."

In a 2019 interview with Stern, Stewart shared how she and Meyer met. The couple initially met while working on a movie, she said, only to reconnect on an intimate level six years later at a friend's party.

"She rocked up at a friend's birthday and I was like, 'Where have you been, and how have I not known you?'" Stewart recalled in her conversation with Stern. "The day that I met her, all bets were off."

Just last year, Stewart was interviewed by Pride Source for her Hulu movie "Happiest Season," which (ironically) highlights a young woman with a plan to propose to her girlfriend while at her family's annual holiday party. The young woman in question was closeted and played by Mackenzie Davis, and Stewart played the hidden girlfriend. In the interview, Stewart spoke about being loud and proud about her own sexuality.

She divulged she's "never specifically had to keep [herself]  in a closet with a person" and that "thinking that maybe people think you're gross or weird is something that is nice to laugh at…"
