The Equality Band of Michigan, a new Michigan LGBT band, is seeking musicians to join the band and perform at Pride events across the state in June. The band is planning to perform at Motor City Pride in Ferndale, Michigan Pride in Lansing and West Michigan Pride in Grand Rapids.
The band will have rehearsal locations in Ferndale, Lansing and Grand Rapids. Auditions are not required, and all skill levels are welcome.
The first Lansing rehearsal was held May 2 at Everybody Reads Bookstore. The first Grand Rapids rehearsal took place May 4 at Reconciliation Church. Ferndale rehearsals will take place at Metropolitan Community Church of Detroit, and have not yet begun.
