FERNDALE – The Day of Rememberance planning committee along with MCCD, TransGender Michigan, Transgender Detroit and Affirmations Community Center are having an anti-transgender violence rally on Oct. 19th. This coincides with the Midwest Transgender youth conference.
People will gather at 6:30 p.m. at Affirmations to make signs, then march to Nine Mile and Woodward for a peaceful rally.
This rally is to bring attention to the violence that plagues the TLGB community.
Affirmations is located at 290 W. nine mile in Ferndale Michigan.
This year's candlelight vigil will be held on Nov. 16 at MCCD church, starting at 7 p.m., 2441 Pincrest, Ferndale.
