Javier joins UofM's LGBT Affairs office

ANN ARBOR – Gabriel Javier has accepted the assistant director position in the University of Michigan/Ann Arbor's Office of Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Affairs. Javier is replacing Julica Hermann, who left the office earlier this year.
Javier is a recent Master's graduate of the University of Michigan School of Education. While there he was the graduate intern for education and training for the Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center, focusing on the role of men in the prevention of violence against women. He has also been active with several other student committees. In addition, Javier is currently serving a two-year term on the Board of Trustees for Rockhurst University, a Jesuit school in Kansas City, Missouri, where he graduated with an undergraduate degree in Communications and English.
