The Affirmations LGBTQ center in Ferndale is known for its varied programs and services that cater to a variety of people within the LGBTQ community, and one of its newest groups tackles difficult discussions about inequality. The Queer and Trans People of Color Group meets weekly ever Monday to talk about a variety of real-life issues that affect them daily. The next meeting is on Monday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m.
"Talk about racism, homophobia and transphobia with other QTPOC! Socialize, vent and have fun at one of the newest Support and Discussion Groups at Affirmations," write event organizers.
