Affirmations MAC seeking members

The Affirmations Community Center is seeking members for their Multiculteral Advisory Committee.

The Multicultural Advisory Committee was formed in April of this year to create a set of best practices and recommendations for LGBT multicultural service provision and center operation.

The MAC is in the process of collecting community information and looking for people interested in participating in focus groups. Additionally, as vacancies on the committee arise, additional interested people are needed to serve on the MAC.

Any interested in serving should take the survey provided on Affirmations' Web site at http://www.goaffirmations.org.

Upcoming events at the Pittmann-Puckett Gallery

The Affirmations' Pittmann-Puckett Art Gallery is holding several events in September, including an interactive workshop and a gallery opening.

The "Your Secret Workshop" was created in the spirit of

Make Post Secret-inspired art to be displayed at the Coming Out Week gallery opening. Get your secrets out in the open!

Takes place Thursday, September 11th, between 6:30pm-8:30pm.

Gallery Opening: Gods and Goddesses: the Embracing of Self
