Christian Styles, Metro Detroit Adult Performer, Dies at 29
Content creator and filmmaker remembered by family and industry peers
Christian Styles, a gay adult performer and content creator with Michigan roots, has died at 29. His family confirmed his death in an obituary stating he passed away Aug. 20.
Styles, whose birth name was Zachary Christian Jaghab, was born and raised in Canton and began working in adult entertainment in 2021, building an audience as both a performer and an independent content creator. In 2023, he won a fan-voted award at the GayVN Awards alongside performer Chris Damned, and he picked up additional nominations the following year. On social media, he frequently shared videos of himself rollerblading through spots around Michigan, offering glimpses of his life beyond his work in adult entertainment. No cause of death has been publicly disclosed.
MenCrush, the adult entertainment platform that featured Styles in one of its long-form documentary profiles, remembered him as a collaborator who trusted the company with his story. "Today, we're struggling to find the words," the company wrote in a tribute. MenCrush's documentary on Styles, part of a series exploring the people behind adult-industry personas, cast him as the "Spirited Charmer" and delved into his upbringing in an Arab household.
Styles' family obituary describes him as a cherished son, beloved brother, adored uncle and devoted member of a large extended family, survived by his parents, siblings, nieces and nephew, and a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
News of his death has prompted an outpouring of remembrance from fans, friends and fellow performers online, many describing him as a warm and generous presence both on camera and off. Among them was Perry Wayne, the Detroit-based founder of the lace underwear brand Wayne Underwear, who posted a tribute to Styles on Instagram. "Today has been hard. Detroit lost a good soul. You were my day one, and I'm going to miss you so much," Wayne wrote. "Rest easy, my friend."
